Walter Orr Roberts Lecture Series
Walter Orr Roberts Lecture Series
The Walter Orr Roberts (WOR) Distinguished Lecture series is an annual lecture given as part of UCAR’s public outreach to the broader community, made possible through generous donations of the Walter Orr Roberts family. This lecture series was created in 1998 to honor the legacy of Dr. Walter Orr Roberts, the director of the U.S. National Science Foundation National Center for Atmospheric Research (NSF NCAR) and simultaneous president of the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR).
