The Walter Orr Roberts Distinguished Lecture series is back! A part of NCAR|UCAR’s public outreach to the broader community through lectures on relevant and timely discoveries, made possible through private donations.

UCAR Health Fair and Blood Draw

UCAR is holding its annual Health Fair on June 18, 2024 at Center Green. The blood draws (basic tests) and the Health Fair are FREE and are open to all UCAR employees, retirees, spouses/partners and dependent children (18-26 years of age).

Retiree Coffee Chat: NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center

You are cordially invited to our next coffee chat and VIP tour organized by the Friends of the National Center for retired and alumni members of the NSF NCAR and UCAR community! We will meet at the NSF NCAR Wyoming Supercomputing Center (NWSC) in Cheyenne for a coffee chat with fellow retirees, followed by a tour of NWSC to learn more about their work and see one of the fastest supercomputers existing today. This event is free, but an RSVP is required, as space is limited.

You’re invited to our next coffee chat and VIP tour for retired and alumni members of the NSF NCAR and UCAR community! Learn more about the Earth Observing Laboratory (EOL) with veteran NSF NCAR employee Terry Hock. Terry will provide a tour of the EOL labs and share some details about the Airborne Phased Array Radar (APAR) project. This event is free, but an RSVP is required, as space is limited.

National Volunteer Week Adaptive Hikes at NSF NCAR Mesa Lab: April 21

Friends of the National Center and the Lockwood Foundation are organizing an event to celebrate National Volunteer Week on April 21 at the NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesa Laboratory. Volunteers will conduct a series of adaptive hikes on the trails surrounding the NSF NCAR Mesa Lab in partnership with athletes and volunteers from the Lockwood Foundation and volunteers from the University of Colorado Boulder. Lunch will be provided, learn more and sign up today!
